Port Colborne’s yacht charters start at the opening of the Welland Canal. Lake Huron is north of Lake St. Clair, containing two large bays and surrounds Manitoulin Island, the world’s largest freshwater island. The twin ports of Duluth, MN and Superior, WI have prime fishing. The best yacht season varies between the upper and lower Great Lakes. Lake Huron north and Lake Superior have a June to September season, while the lower Lakes enjoy May to October yachting.
